Shipping Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This Shipping Policy explains where Axholme Engraving delivers, our delivery charges, estimated delivery times and what happens if an order is delayed, damaged or cannot be delivered.
1. Where we deliver
We deliver to all UK addresses, including:
-
England;
-
Scotland;
-
Wales;
-
Northern Ireland;
-
the Scottish Highlands and Islands;
-
the Isle of Man;
-
the Channel Islands; and
-
other UK locations served by our delivery carriers.
Some Express delivery services may not be available to remote locations, offshore islands or certain postcode areas. Where Express delivery is unavailable, we will use the fastest suitable service available.
We do not currently offer international delivery through our website unless agreed separately in writing.
2. Delivery charges
Our standard flat-rate delivery charges are:
Standard delivery — £2.49
Estimated delivery is 3–5 working days after dispatch.
Express delivery — £5.99
Estimated delivery is 1–2 working days after dispatch.
Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.
These delivery charges apply to normal retail orders placed through our website.
3. Bulk and trade orders
Bulk, wholesale, unusually large, heavy or multi-parcel orders may require a separate delivery quotation.
Where a separate delivery charge is required, we will confirm the cost before the order is accepted or processed.
The delivery charge may depend on:
-
the size and weight of the order;
-
the number of parcels required;
-
the delivery address;
-
whether pallet delivery is required; and
-
any special delivery arrangements.
Bulk-order delivery charges will be clearly stated in the quotation or order confirmation.
4. Processing and production times
Delivery times are separate from processing and production times.
Products that are in stock and do not require personalisation will normally be prepared for dispatch as soon as reasonably possible.
Personalised, engraved, custom-made and bespoke orders require additional production time. The production time may vary depending on:
-
the product ordered;
-
the quantity required;
-
the complexity of the design;
-
whether artwork needs to be prepared or amended;
-
how quickly an artwork proof is approved;
-
material availability; and
-
our current production workload.
Where possible, an estimated production time will be shown on the product page or confirmed during the quotation or artwork approval process.
The Standard or Express delivery timeframe begins only after the completed order has been dispatched.
5. Personalised and bespoke orders
Personalised and bespoke orders may take longer than standard, ready-made products.
Where an artwork proof or design approval is required, production will not normally begin until we have received your approval.
Delays in receiving any of the following may delay production and dispatch:
-
usable artwork;
-
personalisation details;
-
proof approval;
-
measurements;
-
payment; or
-
answers to order-related questions.
Choosing Express delivery only reduces the delivery time after dispatch. It does not reduce the design or manufacturing time unless we have separately agreed to prioritise production.
6. Orders required by a specific date
Please contact us before placing an order if it is needed for:
-
an event;
-
a wedding;
-
an exhibition;
-
a promotional campaign;
-
a product launch;
-
a birthday or anniversary; or
-
another fixed deadline.
We will tell you whether we reasonably expect to complete and deliver the order in time.
A requested delivery date is not guaranteed unless we have expressly confirmed the deadline in writing.
7. Dispatch confirmation
Once your order has been dispatched, we will normally send a dispatch confirmation by email.
Where tracking is available, the email may include:
-
the carrier’s name;
-
a tracking number; and
-
a link to track the delivery.
Tracking information may take several hours to become active after the parcel has been collected.
Some smaller orders may be sent using a service that does not provide full tracking.
8. Delivery estimates
We take reasonable steps to dispatch and deliver orders within the estimated timeframe.
Delivery times are estimates unless we have expressly confirmed a guaranteed delivery service in writing.
Delivery to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, offshore islands and other remote locations may take longer than the usual estimate.
Delivery may also be delayed by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:
-
courier disruption;
-
adverse weather;
-
road closures;
-
transport delays;
-
industrial action;
-
seasonal demand;
-
incorrect or incomplete delivery information; and
-
circumstances affecting remote or offshore locations.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
9. Delivery addresses
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Please check:
-
the recipient’s name;
-
house name or number;
-
street;
-
town or city;
-
postcode;
-
business name, where applicable; and
-
any relevant delivery instructions.
Contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error in the delivery address.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been dispatched.
Additional delivery charges may apply if an order needs to be redirected or sent again because the delivery information supplied was incorrect or incomplete.
10. Safe places and delivery instructions
Where you provide a safe-place instruction or ask the carrier to leave a parcel with a neighbour, responsibility for the parcel may pass to you once it has been delivered in accordance with those instructions.
Please choose a location that is secure, dry and suitable for the parcel.
Axholme Engraving will not normally be responsible for loss or weather damage after a parcel has been left in a location specifically requested or approved by you, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
11. Missed deliveries
If no one is available to receive the order, the carrier may:
-
attempt delivery again;
-
leave the parcel in an authorised safe place;
-
leave it with a neighbour;
-
take it to a collection point; or
-
return it to the carrier’s depot.
Please follow the carrier’s tracking information or delivery card to rearrange delivery or collect the parcel.
12. Uncollected or refused deliveries
Refusing a parcel or failing to collect it does not automatically cancel the order.
If an order is returned to us because:
-
delivery was refused;
-
the parcel was not collected;
-
the delivery address was incorrect;
-
the carrier could not access the address; or
-
repeated delivery attempts were unsuccessful,
we may charge the reasonable cost of sending the order again.
Personalised, engraved and bespoke products will not normally be refunded simply because delivery was refused or the parcel was not collected.
Cancellation and refund rights for standard products are explained in our Returns and Refund Policy.
13. Delayed or lost deliveries
Please check the tracking information first if your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe.
If the tracking information has not updated or the parcel is significantly delayed, contact us and provide:
-
your name;
-
your order number;
-
your delivery postcode; and
-
your tracking number, where available.
We will contact the carrier and investigate the delivery.
Carriers may require an investigation period before confirming that a parcel is lost.
Where a parcel is confirmed as lost before delivery, we will normally offer:
-
a replacement;
-
a refund; or
-
another appropriate solution agreed with you.
Personalised or bespoke replacement products may need to be manufactured again before they can be dispatched.
14. Damaged deliveries
Please inspect your parcel as soon as possible after delivery.
If the packaging or products have been damaged in transit, contact us promptly and provide:
-
your name and order number;
-
a description of the damage;
-
photographs of the damaged product;
-
photographs of the external packaging;
-
photographs of the internal packaging; and
-
a photograph of the delivery label.
Please keep the product and all packaging until we have completed our investigation.
Depending on the circumstances, we may arrange a repair, replacement, partial refund or full refund.
Further information is available in our Returns and Refund Policy.
15. Orders containing multiple products
Orders containing several products may be sent in more than one parcel.
Products may be dispatched separately where:
-
they have different production times;
-
part of the order is personalised;
-
the order is too large for one parcel; or
-
separate packaging is required to prevent damage.
You will not normally be charged additional delivery costs where we choose to divide a standard website order into separate parcels after it has been placed.
Bulk and trade-order delivery costs will be covered by the delivery quotation provided for that order.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Shipping Policy when our delivery services, prices, carriers or business practices change.
The policy applying to an order will normally be the version published when the order was placed.
